Welcome to the world of the Coupon Language. It can be hard to decipher at times but you can refer to this post anytime you need.

$2/1- When you see a deal posted with info similar to this it means that the coupon is for $2 off of 1 item.

ECB- Extra Care Buck, works like cash and you earn these at CVS for purchasing at item advertised with an ECB. This will come in handy when I post CVS deals.

RR- Register Reward, also works like cash and can be earned like CVS ECB’s.

Stack- When a store has it’s own coupons, usually you can “stack,” or use them with a manufacturer coupon (like the one’s you clip out of the paper).

Q- It just simply means coupon. This is a short version of the word to make posting deals universal.

Insert- Sunday Paper coupon insert

OOP- Out of pocket expense

Blinkie- A Machine in a store that spits out a coupon.

Peelies- A coupon found on a package that you may have to “peel” off.

Cat- Catalina coupon. A Catalina is a coupon that comes out at the end of your order for possibly purchasing certain items.

There are several more terms, however, we are trying to make this easy to begin with. I will get more complicated as we go.

Stacking- A store coupon that can be used on the same item as a manufacturer coupon, as per store policy. This is allowed at Target, walgreens, CVS, and Meijer.

MMB- Meijer Mealbox coupons that can be used on the same item with a Manufacturer coupon (called stacking) see above.
